Carried for years, Never forgotten. Only ever stropped ..... I have returned "Her" to EDC duty after a hair popping treatment in my WEPS. Nice to have Her back, My First. Never will go anywhere except periodic rests and relaxation stints in my Safe always in a place of Honor. I get sentimental about such things, to me it's just part of the passion.

Feel free (please do) post up pics and stories of your First and/or favorite RHK. What are you sentimental about....? Oh, and by all means, Return Her to EDC duty - You Both deserve it! :)

Beautiful blade sir!!!

Thank you, She is a keeper. This "Is" the Blade that saved the Life of my precious "Sam". Old story, not sure where to find it but it was a day I was in my shop (Home alone) and it went from there. Sam had gotten down into the HVAC ductwork.
This trusty Blade saved both our lives, I would have been devastated if I had lost Sam and almost actually killed him because I thought it was an outside animal of considerable size that had gotten into my ceiling (long story) but thankfully last minute a little voice said "No" and I cut open the ductwork and out fell an almost suffocated "Sam".

Just one reason this knife will never go anywhere.....

Thanks a lot for sharing, Rubi! That definitely is a keeper by all means. I have cycled through quite a few Hinderer's, and I must say that I regret selling/trading my first. But I had a great opportunity to fund another, and then another, and the rest is history...Very grateful to be in a situation where I've been able to handle much of Rick's work! I love carrying Hinderer's fo' sho'.

My good friend Kevin from UPS bringing me one of my first Hinderers. His excitement and enthusiasm just added to my own. Good people such as I have found here on RHK sub forum and my old reliable XM are my friends, maybe not used or spoken to everyday, but are always there.

Here is my first Hinderer, an XM 24 that I carried a couple of years on my tac vest, now accompanies me on the farm, today it sliced through some twine on a few bales of hay to feed the horses. I like the size when wearing heavy gloves, feels like an extension of my hand.

Whenever I use it, it brings back a lot of memories, some good, most not so, however in a strange way always feels like an old friend.

Kinda cool many of our firsts sport Ti scales. My 1st...the bronze 24 does too.

May add a fresh photo (if time allows) in the not too distant future, but it's image has been shared several times already.

I remember your textured Ti N2K as well as Rubi's. I always liked having both sides of my knife having the same color and material. I never had a slip joint or fixed blade with different materials on each side just a personal thing.

I will both haunt and Beg Rob for a WF smooth Ti scale for my Skinner - that will be my baby then :)

I too like symmetry in my texture and material..... "Serenity Now" Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

My want for more textured Ti is on equal with my want for a FDE DLC 3.5 Skinner and matching FXM.

And...XMs do have Ti on both sides...just one side is thinner than the other and covered with G-10...:)

Right on with your observation N2K, Or Rick's liner locks which are basically Ti frame locks with a slabs of G 10 covering it :)
