Not sure I should do this? I joined a bit ago to buy a knife or two from the trading thread, didn't know if it was rude of me not to say hi and introduce myself. I'm just a random low end of 30's spectrum guy who just happens to adore knives and always have. I live in RI (that's the 'states talk for 'not big enough to be a real state) which turned into a bit of a desert regarding any brick and mortar knife shops recently. (unless you like mall hanger swords and Mtec $9 ones from asain themed gift stores)
I've always come here to read things, but I only just signed up to say things. Hopefully I'm not a detriment as I meander around typing words at things. I occasionally know what I'm doing!

Wait a minute, you're telling me Rhode Island is a state?
I don't buy it, but welcome anyways.

Welcome to the madness and prepare your wallet. :)

You are not kidding. I never liked cheap knives, but mine where always $100 or less..Now I've found the joy - and agony of high end productions and midtechs. And custom scales and the ease of anodizing titanium? I am doomed. But the best kind of doomed. Are there any reputable sites with layaway/payment plans.. I fear what I could justify then. :P

Welcome to BF. Don't mention that you are from RI and you will be fine.:p

Welcome mr. Facebrain. Why do all the trees in Massachusetts lean south? Joking. I'd like to anodize a SpyderCo Mantra, not sure if i'll have the nerve though. I doubt it's rude not to into, but it feels like it. Seriously, though I've heard the trees in Mass lean north. Knife on brother.

I like R. I.-I spend two weeks up there every summer in Charlestown. Love the Quonnie Breachway.==KV
