Mailman Rick brought me some goodness today...Thanks again for the FAST shipping Skunk (and Mrs. Skunk, from what I hear...)

Here it is next to my anorexic B4 for size comparison:

I love the way it fills my hand:

Every grip I have tried feels great!

Looks like balance point is right in the middle of the talon hole. It was actually tough to get it to just sit on my fat finger...perhaps a little jittery with caffeine and excitement:

For those of you who have handled the other large SARs, how does this balancing point compare to Sar 6 and Sar 8?

So far this one feels like a winner!

So much so, that I think I need to go use it...I'll hopefully be back with some action shots later tonight or tomorrow :-)

Garth, Jerry, Skunk- Thanks for bringing us another fine fine blade!

I cant believe how light this thing is.. for its size, the weight is just amazing. I'm really interested to see how the light brigade treatment on the upcoming TG compares..

Thanks guys!

Will let you know how it chops, batons, slices, and dices...as soon as I get my ass off this computer!

...The Sarge is definitly a fast blade in the hand...

That it is! Really love how it feels as I slice through all this air..

Garth, I have a couple questions about it for you:

1. Is there a reason (other than lightness) as to why you fully skeletonized the handles, rather than give it the Light Brigade treatment?

2. Was losing the thumb jimping purely an aesthetic decision? It's a beautiful, clean looking design, but I can't help thinking I would have loved that jimping.

OK, I really am walking away from the computer now...

Nice! Can't wait to get mine!

Anyone else notice how the Busse email announcing the Sarge 7 was titled: "Introducing the SARGE Series!!!" ????

Think this means we can expect more sizes? maybe after the NMFSH!!!!

Any chance that you also own a DSF? Seems like it would be a very similar knife and would love to get your perspective.

.... let us know how it chops.

I did end up getting outside and so far I have to say it chops great, especially considering how light it is. Chopping with the rear-most grip is quite comfy and despite its light weight, this Sarge bites deep! I didn't get to spend as much time outside as I would have liked so I'll have to get back to you with detailed information about how it feels for extended chopping work, but as of now things look pretty promising.

It also makes a killer feather stick, notches easily, and looks like it will be an awesome all around blade for both fine detail work as well as more heavy duty jobs...

Sorry Vox, I haven't had the pleasure of handling a DSF (yet!)...after seeing Jaxx's pics, I do agree with you that it looks pretty similar. I suppose if you wanted to send a DSF this way I'd be happy to give you a thorough comparison and review ;-)
