Hello everyone!!

Newbie here... Just wanted to introduce myself.

No background or knowledge about knives other than that they exist and some carry them. Never even owned one to be honest!!! But during CCW class a couple of weeks ago, I saw someone playing with one and discussing with instructor about laws of carrying certain blade size. That was the start of wanting to have a pocket knife. A knife.. meaning ONE!!! Then I started watching Youtube and discovered that some people collected them. And my knife obsession began!! In the beginning, I ordered whatever that look good. And after about 30 or so knives, all Black Tac knives, btw, I discovered CRK one sleepless night. I couldn't fathom that people spent that much on a little knife... How little did I know!! But that was than!! Wife doesn't have a slightest clue about price so I'm ok for now. So without further ado,

P.S.

One more due next week. I'll post pic when it arrives.

Thanks everyone for reading my long post.

Welcome to BFC!!!!!
Are you just teasing us, the pic is not showing.
You know, the amount you've spent on all the others could add up to a couple more CRK's, can't wait to see your future CRK's

I started much the same way. Told myself i would NEVER spend that much on a knife. Now I have a dozen or so. I'm at the point where my hobby kinda pays for itself (at least that's how I justify it). I'll sell a couple to get the cash to buy others. I have a few that are "keepers" but otherwise, my collection is pretty dynamic.

Nice start! Might I suggest a plain Sebenza for your next knife, every CRK fan should own one:thumbup:

My bad fellas!! It showed on preview... I'll try again.. It's a modest start!! Suggestions and recommendations are welcome.

This is what you have acquired since a few weeks ago PLUS 30 something "Black Tac" knives!!!???I might have missed something but if not, thats a hell of a start. Good looking CRKs !

Since it's evident you like the Umnumzaan, you now need a 25.

That sleepless night was a dream come true. Congratulations. 25 next, a ti-lock would look good, and some mammoth scales for sure. Enjoy!
Did You sell of the negro tac squad? Love Your enthusiasm.
Welcome! Welcome!

That was my first choice but then decided to go with Damascus.. I am pondering but for some reason it's not calling my name as of yet!! Thanks for your suggestion though.

That was my first choice but decided to go with Damascus at the last minute. I am pondering about the plain but it's not singing for me some reason... Thanks for your suggestion though.

These plus one more that's due week are damage done in one week!!! As you can imagine, I have a compulsive/obsessive behavior issue.. Btw, some of the tac knives are gone to friends at a significant discount or returned to the sellers. I will trim down further once my Pelican 1400 arrives. I do not know how many it will fit in there.

Thanks everyone for your warm and kind response. I really appreciate your suggestions and comments. One question I have to you all CRK experts is, do you stay with CRK only or venture out into different brands as well??? There are soooo many out there and I'd like to acquire some of them. Spice of life I guess.. Your thoughts?

I've always enjoyed a variety of different knives. I'm intrigued by designs, blade steel, handle material, functionality of knives. I've still have most of the gateway knives that led me down this expensive path. I know CRK is not the perfect knife (don't think that knife really exists), but it's the perfect knife for me. Since I stumbled onto CRK's, they have been in my daily carry and have been used more than any other brand I own. The thing about CRK's is that they're either the one for you or they're not. A lot of folks that have moved away from CRK find their selves coming back to them.
This knife hobby is about having fun and hunting for that special knife that has your name on it. No one can convince you which one it will be, that's for you to experience and that's part of the fun, costly, but fun. Besides, how can someone truly appreciate the whole experience of a CRK if that's the only knife they've ever owned?
