Hey Everyone, this is my first time posting in the Boker forum. Anyhow, I've got a question for anyone who has knowledge of these knives. I recently acquired a Boker Combat smatchet in a knife trade with my brother. From what I have gathered, there have been a few different versions of this knife. The writing is etched into the blade and it has black plastic handles. I'm hoping someone can tell me which version I have, along with blades specs, steel used, etc. I know he's had it for at least 2 years and bought it from knifeoutlet, if that helps.

The knife you have got is a "standard" Smatchet. It has a 4034 stainless steel blade and a polycarbonate handle. With this serial number you have got one from the first production run.

there has been a "limited" edition of this Smatchet with a 440-C handle and screwed micarta handle, but this edition is sold out for a long time.

You have got a nice piece of history, cause its design is pretty classic and there has been a few manufacturers, who made it. And in the end, we got permission to produce it.

Hope this helps!
