A fine complement to the original.

And on that note, although I realize we Americans can be a bit too concerned with private property, did you clear this with Bill Bagwell? Otherwise, perhaps a note about the fact that it is inspired by/a tribute to his work might be in order.

I for one, without such a note, was expecting a Bagwell.

Real nice Murray :thumbdn:

Armin

Your knife is very nice .

Would love to see more work from you :)

Bill Bagwell tribute threads always throw me, I usually wait for Joe to post to see what he has to say. :)
Very nice work, Armin, would like to feel how this HB homage is balanced.
Thanks for sharing and looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Nice looking work, Armin. Like Joe I would like to see more of your work.

One of the nicest "Hells Belle" style knives I have seen.

A fine complement to the original.

I fine it interesting that whenever a maker posts their "Hell's Belle" inspired knife there's usually the question as to if the maker got Bill's permission, however the question never seems to come up when makers posts their versions of other maker's designs. Bob Loveless inspired designs and Jerry Fisk's Sendero hunter design would be a couple examples.

There has been some interesting threads discussed here on this subject.

It is not like this is a Korean mass produced knock off. It is a one of a kind custom tribute to a great design.

Nice work. I like it.

The maker has said it was inspired by the Bagwell Hells Belle. That is about where it ends it is a very nice well executed knife but it is not a hell's belle. It is not even close if you get too looking at the subtlety's of the some of the design elements. But it is still a nice knife with a lot of thought going into the fit and finish.

VERY nice!

Beautiful materials, top notch craftsmanship.

Kind regards,

Jos

The knife was made upon request of a customer. He has several Ontario Hell's Belles in his collection. His wish was a custom made bowie that should fit in this collection of HBs without beeing a exact copy of a Hell's Belle.

Doug , your question concerning feeling and balance: The weight is slightly above 400 gramms at a blade thickness of 5,5 mm, balance of the knife is on the ricasso area directly in front of the guard.
