Hi

I post a new thread because I need a fast answer. A store is closing and they have those for 40$ each (normally 60-75$). They will probably not have my size for long, glad I'm slim.

I have some army polyester underwears, size small, and they fit perfectly, so small HH should be ok.

So, is HH's merino/lifa mix ok? Any cons?

Unfortunately, bushman's search engine didn't help :(

I don't know if its wool or not, but if it says Helly Hansen its worth getting, no two ways about it !

Several months ago I bought a "Wooltimate" pullover from Cabela's which is wool and something else. It is the best shirt I have ever bought for cold weather. So if this HH stuff is similar it should be most excellent.

Get it, and if it's not what you want, keep the tags and take it back. Sale is final? Ebay it. You need pants, they have pants at a price you like.

In my opinion, it's the best cold weather underwear out there. I have a two piece HH Prowool set, had it for about 15 years, using it for work every winter. If you take good care of them they will treat you right! I wash mine on gentle with Woolite and always hang them to dry.

They are quite warm, I only wear mine when it's below -10c or so, and find that they are warm enough I will generally wear no mid-layer pants, I wear them right under the goretex shell pants. They stay quite warm even when wet.
