Hi! I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with the Helly Hansen "helly tech" fabric or Helly Hansen garments in general. I'm looking for a good shell pant for winter, spring, and fall use. Thanks!

There were some very favorable comments about it on another forum from a hunter in Alaska .That's the ultimate test !

I have a pair of polypro long underwear that I use here in New Zealand. NZ is very tough on gear, but I have taken these to hell and back. Quick drying, solid construction and very lightweight. HH gets a  from me.

Helly Hansen is great, well worth the money. I have worn my HH gear at work in Alaska, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Greenland, Labrador, Norway, in all sorts of weather (in the Amazon too) and have to say it is the best gear for the money in my opinion, and Helly Tech is better than goretex...

Great gear - but expensive. Picked up some HH gear when I lived in Portland, Oregon in 1994-95, still use the ski jacket in wet winter weather here (with all the air zippers open because it gets too hot!)

Oh, I live in NE Alabama to clarify "here".

I bought the blue HH touque and it pilled really bad. It got so awful and ugly I won't wear it.
