Help a Brother Out.....!!!

So here is the story........

One of the members of our little forum is getting married soon.....so as you all know that means he gets to make very few decisions and has to do what he is told......

The one thing he would like to do for himself for "The Big Day" is find a 3.5" CF scale for his XM so he can dress it up for the wedding (and make it look better than him), carry it, and use it to cut the cake (a little).......

I told him I would find him one......and if not, I told him I would pull one off one of my own XMs and sell it to him so he can have his "perfect" XM on his big day.....it just seems like the right thing to do.

But what I am wondering is if anyone has a SPARE 3.5" CF scale and can help out this good fellow........if not, I am happy to do it.......in this case it's not about the sale or the hunt.......it's about helping out one of the guys from the forum.......

Please email or PM me if you can help and we'll set our fellow Hinderer enthusiast up for his wedding.......

Mike......you gotta try, right......it's a small and friendly community.......and if we can't find someone with a spare then he'll get one of mine.
I can always replace mine later.......but we'll get him set for his wedding !!!
 
Yup......let's see if we can get one......I'll give it a few days to see if anyone can help.......and if not, then I'll pull out my tools and take the CF scale off one of my own.......
 
I applaud your effort to help but this thread probably doesn't belong in this forum (but what do I know, I am no moderator).

I have one that a member on here made for me, it's not from hinderer but looks better to me with a thicker weave, I know most people shun anything non hinderer brand but if he's in a bind id hook him up

Rich.....I agree.....it walks a thin line........I was wondering about it when I posted the thread.
But it's not really a "want to buy" ad as I will give him one of my own......it's a "want to help" request......which I thought was in the spirit of our forum for this special occasion.......

I think for his wedding he is looking for a genuine RHK CF scale......thank you very much for the offer but RDA may be able to help out.
 
I agree. Awesome idea. I will keep my eyes open, as well.

In addition, if we all chime in, perhaps the mods are less likely to ban the entire Hinderer fan club.
 
I know where we can get a cf scale and will throw money on the dog pile! Does textured work?
 
Wow guys, it's a thread like this that really proves what a great community this is. it's like nothing I've ever seen before. Just wanted to chime in on that.
 
Guys, yes.....in my opinion.....it is a thread like this that demonstrates what a special place this is.....

I believe that both Rich (RDA) and Ben Chiew have offered to help out the lucky groom !!!

So, I apologize to the Mods if this thread "flirted" with the rules.....a wedding is a pretty special occasion......and if you're willing to carry in your XM !!!!
But I think it was more about what a great community this really is when we are willing to step up and help people that we only know online and through our appreciation for Hinderers.
I thank everyone who responded or read the post.
And I am sure that later today you'll hear from the groom......

Awesome idea Ross. Sorry I'm late to that party. If people are throwing in to buy one for the groom then count me in. :D
