Well after playing with a 'Rostfrei' POS
frown.gif
for a while I traded for a BM42A. The design really interests me and even though I am a spaz I've learned some basic moves (Thanks Clay!).

I would like to get better but I don't want to use the BM and the POS is not even fun to flip at all.

What is the best 'cheapie' to practise on?

I may even dull the edge so blade guality is not important but I'd like to find something close to the BM so that when I graduate the transition will be easier

Thanks in advance guys!

Well, it depends on your preference. If you like heavier blades, go look for a Jaguar. If you like lighter ones, look at the clip point Bear. I personally like the Bear's a bit better, but thats just my opinion.

However, since you got a BM42 already, nothing but the best will satify you.

I would keep using the 42a. Knives are tools and meant to be used don't let that pretty finish or the prrice tag fool you. I kinda like my "rostfrei" just need to flatten out the tang pin a bit and repin the handles ala Master Clay's instructions.

Really, how much would anodizing it be?

Things may never get better, but they can always get worse.

Bandityo, in order to anodize it wouldn't you have to take it apart (remove the blade)? You'd have to send it to Benchmade and get them to take it apart, which I'm not sure they'd do.

I'm pretty sure hydralically peened pins would be no problem for Bandityo. He works in professional shop and his customization's are definitely top notch. I believe if you get some custom work done, he'll do the anodizing free. (at least with the LCC)
