Help a pork rind out in southern Arizona

I recently purchased a CGFBM with standard scales. For my hands, the handle is a little on the thin side. So I'm debating sending the knife in to swap out for a magnum grip. Before spending good money that I could use to buy more INFI, I'd really like to hold a magnum grip to see what it feels like.

Is there anyone in the southern Arizona area who would be willing to let me stop by and handle a Busse with a Magnum grip? Thanks for the consideration.

I don't know if you are near David Brown (BuyBrownHolsters.com), but my CGFBM is there (still? not completely sure). It has mag grips on it. You'd have to ask HIM about a visit, but if he's cool with it, then be my guest as far as hoisting mine. :) It's a user, so you could even hack a piece of wood or something... He's in Tucson somewhere.

Here are my conclusions after holding a few of on_the_edges's knives. (BTW, he's a really great guy to work with)

For my hand size, (aprox 8" heal to finger tip, and palm 4" wide), I prefered the magnums on a CGFBM, but they were still a little on the fat side. If I got magnums, I'd be tempted to sand them down a touch. Having said that, I also held a fusion heavy heart that I really liked with standard scales. The standard scales on the more neutrally balanced HH seemed to be a good match, and the magnums on the GCFBM seemed to be a better match for me.

Having said this, I don't think I'm willing to spend the extra $$$ on the change in scales. I'll probably end up doing a "Cliff Stamp", and wrap my standard scales to build up some thickness.

Might at least consider selling it on the exchange and buying one with the scales you want when they hit the company store?

Yeah, I thought of that, or using for a possible trade. I've become quite smitten with the AD. So many options, so little $$$:D
