This is a bit tougher question thn what I usually ask. I want to ask here because over the last several years I have become 100% convinced that the most knowledgeable knife people are on here.
I have a super cheapo assisted opening knife which I love the "Idea" of for the looks, and the quick opening. Would like to get a half way decent alternative but have had trouble locating. Unfortunately, budget wise, and legally, I don't think I can get a Godson, but........ here is the question: Can I post pics of this knife and see if anyone here can advise on something similar to it?? It is so disgustingly cheap that the first time I polished the blade (by hand) it already has blade play.
Can I put pics right in the body of the message by using the insert image icon?

pretty sure you can post pics as a user by using an attachment. or copy the img tag line and paste here.

the blade play should be easily fixed, just tighten the pivot screw.

as far as ao's, have you looked into kershaw? very good quality and many models well under 100.00.

Good advice on Kershaw. I have seen some fine knives. The exact look and feel of what I want may not be easy though. The MT Godson is out of my price range, and is not legal everywhere I go -- only some places.

Hmm... by the pictures, it looks as though you like the ability of having the option of opening with the flipper or the thumbstud.
Actually the first knife that came to mind would be the SOG Twitch XL.
I have a Twitch II, and I can tell you that the lock-up is nice and solid, and the assisted opoening is nice and quick.

I hadn't thought of that. Some things I especially like about this knife is the false edge, giving the appearance of a dual edge dagger, with the handles reminding of the shape of the handles of the full auto GodSon. To be hones, one of my co workers was convinced it was a switchblade. I want a "fun" knife to carry on the weekend and after work. At work too many sheeple types in the building next to us.

Actually, I see no grind line to indicate a false edge - the drop point does convey the image, tho. A truer false edge would be more like the Gerber A/F, or Covert with a centered grind line.

IIRC CRKT and Crawford offer the drilled out look, but AO is not a common option.

one like my Buck Tempest might work it has skeleton handles though it does have a false edge and can be opened with either tumbstud or the ao flipper it is realitivly easy to sharpen
