Help: Any idea what knife this is?

My father and brother brought back this knife from a trip to Europe a few years back, but I have no idea whether it's authentic or a knock-off and what kind of knife this is.

I think they bought it in Poland.

Any ideas?

Eastern European Bayonet, current issue I believe, I brought the same one back from Hungary in '06.

Yup. That there is a bayonet for an AK-47.


edited: I can't believe I opened a "what knife is this?" thread and I actually knew the answer!

On a side note, I haven't really used it at all, not even tried sharpening it. As you can see it comes with the wire cutter. In a pinch I guess it would do the trick.

Yes it is an AK47 bayonet.

Yup, it's an AK-47 bayonet, it looks like (but may not be) an early pattern East German bayonet. I have one just like it. :thumbup:

And the knife and sheath form a clipper to cut wire.
