Hi all,
An older buddy of mine who was really into knives back in the sixties and seventies, and on into the eighties has asked me to look at some of his older fixed blades to see what I thought. He had a nice group of knives, some with considerable value and others not so much. The collection includes pieces by Loveless, Lile, Ruana, Kershaw, older American made Smith and Wessons, and some old Cutco models.

There was also this little fixed blade in the bunch that I've had a hard time identifying. It's about 8" overall with a four inch blade and a 3.25 inch cutting edge. The handle slab on one side is pretty marked up from my friend carrying it in its horizontal sheath, where I assume it constantly banged up against a rivet on his Levis while he rode around on his harley in the old days:D The only mark on the blade is what I assume is the maker's name, JAMIN. I've searched but haven't come up with much of anything. This knife, according to my buddy's shaky memory was probably from the late seventies/early eighties....but that could be wrong.

Has anybody heard of this maker or know this name? We're out here on the West coast in Northern California, but it could be from anywhere.

I really like this one and think I might buy it from my friend, but I don't want to short change him if it's something of interest and value.

Thanks all:thumbup:

Wow, I guess nobody has heard of this guy!!:D:D At least I don't have to feel bad about offering my buddy a low price for this one.;)

It's too bad.......I wish there was more info on this maker. It's a pretty cool little fixed blade and I think whoever made it had some talent. It would be nice to be able to find some more work from this person.
