I recently picked up a Bravo 1 in A2 and although I'm impressed with the quality, it doesn't feel great in hand.

I love the overall look of the knife...keeping it wouldn't be a problem, BUT the feel in hand is not what I expected with all the reviews that I've read. Another knife that I like is the Large Work Horse; so I'm hoping someone can tell me how these match up in terms of feel. The Bravo isn't overly big for me, I wear glove size LG sometimes XL...I just think that the issue is the big chunk of micarta that has no give to it. I feel like it could have a hot spot for me in the "callusy" part under my 2 middle fingers. The Bravo is unused, I was going to send it to Bark River to have them grind off the thumb ramp, but I'm reluctant to do so in case I trade it for a BHK.

What are your thoughts? Thanks!

I think I'd use the knife a bit before making any decisions. You might be surprised. I prefer the rampless Bravo, but they seem to be popular either way. Can't comment on the Blind Horse, don't own one.

I really want to use it, I like the way it looks. Like I said though, if I end up trading or selling it, it will be harder for me to get what I want with a used knife in hand.

"Palm swells"...learn something everyday. That's why I joined Bladeforums!
