Help!!! Bark River Handle/Scale Choice. What Material ?

I'm getting ready to order a Bark River Highland Special but I'm undecided on what Handle/ Scales. These are the four I narrowed it down to. Out of the four choices listed below which do you prefer and why.

Ligum Vite
Olivewood
Osage Orange
Natural Macarta


If you own a Bark River knife with any of these handle/ Scale Materials listed above fill free to show mw a few pics. It's hard to tell the true colors from Bark Rivers website and I understand there all going to be a little different
 
All great materials,

...I'm partial to the Ligum for it's toughness,

...the olivewood for it warmth and beauty,

...the Osage for it's stark contrast,

...hell, I even like Natty Micarta. :eek:

Of those listed, I'd likely go with the Lignum.

Personally I'm a fan of Dark Curly Maple for warmth and beauty, and any of the Micartas for strength and durability. I just don't like the looks of the Natural Micarta though.
 
I'd get the lignum vitae. it's one of my favorites. It has a lot of natural wax and resin in it so I just sand it to 1500 grit and then buff.

Well, thanks for your input but I decided to go with Green Macarta. There was not a lot of choices at this time for Bark River Highland Specials. I'm sure this wont be my last Bark River. I'm just going to have to wait until they release some new knives with wood scales this fall or spring.
