Help: BK7 or BK10

I am looking for a general purpose hiking/camping knife that can take a beating. My main question is, "For light chopping is there really a big difference between the BK7 and the BK10?" I think it would be easier to carry/store the BK10. Also, is the BK10's point really as blunt as it looks? I guess what I'm really asking is, "What can the BK7 do that the BK10 cannot?"

Finally, how is the fit and finish on them, and do they come shaving sharp out of the box?

I would go with the BK-7 for all-around hiking/camping use - can handle everything from light chopping to detail work/food preparation. Fit/finish is first rate for a production and they come super sharp out of the box. Hope this helps! Just my opinion!
