Hey all. This is my first post but have been stalking the forums in the past. 8^)

I just got a brand new Boker Albatros from Amazon and I really like the look. I'm having a problem that I have never had on any of my other knives so I thought I would ask you guys to see whats going on.

The blade is a frame lock like some of my others but on the Albatros it usually locks up and is VERY hard to unlock. It opens rather easily but its only when closing that there is the problem. I usually have to use my other hand to pull the frame away from the blade in order to close it. Again I just got it in the mail and have only been checking it out for about 1/2 hr. Will it become easier to close after more use or is there something wrong with the knife?

Thanks for the help.

Titanium has a tendency to give a sticking feeling to the steel causing it to be very hard to unlock. This will go away with time but as of right now you can on the tang where the lock interface is scribble on it with a pencil. Some also say sharpie works good. It should definitely go away with time though.

I also just bought a Sage 2 which is made of titanium and it is buttery smooth (and much sharper for the factory). I will play with the Albatros some more before considering sending it back. If anyone else has any thoughts/ suggestions please share.

Thanks!
