Saw a handful of beautiful knives this week at an antique mall in Nacogdoches, TX. They were large, traditional two-blade folders, with bright and intricate bolsters. The name of the knives was etched on the blade and stamped on the blade. It started with a "b", that's all I can remember. The store is called Junction Antique Mall. If anyone knows what the brand of these knives is, I would be very happy if you would let me know. I thought the knives were wonderful, I just can't remember the name... Thanks!

It wouldn't happen to be Bulldog or Boker, would it? And can you provide a little more detail on the knives? Were both blades on the same end? Was there one long blade and one short, or were they both about the same length?

Did both blades open at the same end, or opposite ends? One bolster or two? If one, was it a long bolster or a short one?

The blades were on opposite ends... I know it wasn't a barlow because the bolsters weren't that large... I think I'll try and call the shop, thanks for yall's help!

Let us know when you figure it out! Just for future reference, if you see something you like take a quick picture and it will be far easier to get a quick answer:)

I've got another "help!". Lol

I saw it at a knife show and forgot the name of pattern.

It's made my Case, (according to the Lady) it wasn't a very successful pattern so was made only a short time. By the look of the pocketknives it was made in the 2000's (or maybe 90's). It looked like an elephant toe (flat, big, round) but one end was bigger than the other end. Can anyone guess it?

I have heard them called tear drop elephant toe and sleeve board elephant toe. I bet you can google those and see if that's it.

Sounds like a Tear Drop. I know the tear drop model is still in production so it may be an earlier variation of its modern counterpart...

'Sleeve Board' 6270 SS pattern. I have two of them in smooth bone (one red, one grey), from the Case Collectors Club (as a member offer). Mine have year 2000 date stamps. Main blade is a very wide, swedged spear, as in the 'Elephant Toe' pattern's main blade. Secondary blade is a narrower, more streamlined Wharncliffe. 4-1/16" closed length.

Here's a pic found on the web; this one's got scrolled bolsters:
