Ok folks i have decided i need a Spyderco to EDC for awhile.. I am currently EDC'ing a BM Ritter mini grip (im selling) just need a change

anyways ive been looking at 2 basic sizes
the Native 5 in s35v or the sage

AND

The paramilitary 2 in either s30v or the s35v or cts-20cp

or the Manix 2 in s30v or CTS-30P

No surprise I'll vote for the Sage1. I also carry a cf military, caly3 cf, or delica3 regularly but the sage1 takes the cake for me.

My vote goes for the Sage 2: solid and good looking knife, a tad smaller than the Native and easier to carry.

And to the Para 2 in CTS-20CP: I find it an overall more useful knife than the Manix, plus the steel is top notch.

The moment you put a para 2 in your hand and flick it open and closed you will fall in love with it. I own the cts20cp and the s30v and carry the s30v. I'm too much of a wuss to turn my gray para into a user, but it should happen someday.

my vote goes to the para2. my CTS-20CP sprint gets more pocket time than any of my other knives.

Amen! I never thought one knife could make me feel this way, but the Para 2 is simply outstanding. I like it so much I bought a second one in less than a week after receiving my first.

The price of the Sage 2 is a bit of a turn-off, but I just got mine, and DAMN!! This is one fine knife! I really can't imagine a more comfortable, better looking EDC...

you wont be disappointed with the P2. I have 5 of them now with the 20CP getting the most pocket time. I love the 20CP so much that I bought 2 so I can have one to beat on @ work and 1 "clean" one to carry on the weekends.

Out of your list I would go with para2. Unfortunately Native5 is not out yet. But IMHO the best Spyderco EDC is Caly3.5. I absolutely love this slicer. The same size and weight as Sage1, but larger blade, which is the good thing in my opinion. The same blade length as Para2, but lighter and more compact in the pocket, which is a good thing IMHO:)

Sage 2 would be my 1st choice, I find that Titanium scales work well for an EDC as they're easier on your pockets than G10...plus Sage 2 is an excellent knife plus the fit and finish are incredible. The Para 2 would be a good choice as well. Good luck!

im considering waiting on the Native 5 with the improvements to the ergonomics and the sv35 its only a few weeks away

or possibly getting the para 2 in s30v or carpenter if i can find one not too high a price

I think you should give the All stainless version of the Delica a try, I carry the 50/50 edge one & like it a lot.
In the larger catagory the Military can,t be beat IMHO, CHECK them both out.

if size and form factor are a concern, then PM2 all the way. It'll give you the most knife for the least weight and pocket space
