Hey guys i decided to get a knife that looks pretty good as well as still being usefull for edc. I wanted a knife that wouldnt be too tacticool and be more people friendly. These two are what i found and they both look like great knives. Any recommendation as to which is better? also any other suggestions are cool too :) i like finding out about new knives.

After about a week with my GB, I love it. It fits very well in my hand, and the M4 blade steel holds a great edge (gotta keep it from rusting, though).

Man I love the Vallotton. It's a really, really cool looking blade. BUT it's too big for me to consider it "people friendly." I think most people would freak out at it's size and shape. I think the GB is more people friendly and it's definitely more pocketable. The Vallotton is kind of heavy for everyday usage.

I've had both and as much as I think both are top notch production knives, the GB is the better carry knife by far IMHO - Both are very refined while still being apt but the GB feels better in the pocket to me. The hybrid tip of the Vallotton is cool and could be handy but not enough to change my opinion between the two.

GB FTW!

My normal edc is a zt 300 and a zt350, im pretty big so the size isnt that noticable. I was looking for a less tactical version of my user the 0350. So far the gbs winning :)))

My primary reason for the carry statement is simply because the GB has flat scales while the Vallotton has oblique scales plus the bird hump is more pronounced on the Vallotton - You really won't go wrong with either and the Vallotton blade stock is thicker too.

While I do agree with you mostly, I would like to point out that M4 is not the rust monster that most people make it out to be.

It more or less needs the same conditions that a stainless steel does to rust. Staining is a different story, but getting it to rust is pretty tough.

Thanks guys :), yes i plan on using it. Im going with the GB, but i think ill get a vallotton too someday...Thats a sexy knife.
