I think I am finally ready to purchase my first Bark River. I am in the market for a small fixed blade to use as a EDC knife. I probably will want to carry it in my pocket or maybe on my belt.

Bark River has so many options, I am a bit overwhelmed.

I was leaning towards the PSK, Mikro Canadian, or the little Creek.

PSK

OAL: 5.150"
Blade Length: 2.175"
Cutting Edge: 2"
Blade Steel: 154CM @ 58rc
Blade Thickness: .132"
Weight: 2.125

Mikro Canadian

Overall Length: 5.125 inches
Blade Length: 2.19 inches
Cutting Edge Length - 1.775 inches
Blade Steel: 154CM @ 58 RC
Blade Thickness: .125 inches
Weight: 1.375 ounces

Little Creek
Overall Length:5.5 Inches
Blade Length:2.65 Inches
Cutting Edge: 2.3 Inches
Blade Steel: A-2 @ 58rc
Blade Thickness: .145 Inch
Weight: 2.125 Ounces

I am open to other suggestions though. A-2 on the Little Creek seems to be easier to sharpen than CM154 and is possibly a better steel so I do like that.

Also is the Mikro Canadian the most popular of the small candadians or is the mini canadian more popular?

I just got a little creek myself with black micarta.. Haven't been home to see it yet however.

The mikro is my favorite edc and was the knife that moved me over to fixed blade edc. I now much prefer a knife on my belt horizontally than weighing down or getting in the spaces of my pockets. I have a custom kydex rig that really locks it in place too.

I have since stepped up to the mini canadian for my main edc. It is about as big as I can manage in that carry style, but all I ever need too. I own and have tried to like the mini fox in that configuration, but iris just a touch too big.

For me, starting small and moving up made fixed blade edc a real pleasure and I rarely carry folders. Besides, most of my folders are actually bigger and scarier than the friendly shape of the Canadian. I really love the cadadian series. That's my vote.

All that said though, the little creek is nice too. I like its proportions and it is probably very stout for such a small knife.

I actually like the Mini Canadian as a small fixed over those because it feels a bit better in hand to me. Out of the ones listed though I'd say the PSK

Did you make the horizontal kydex holster if not where did you buy it?
I think I can get the mini canadian in A2 or 3v which looks to be better than the 154CM if tge Mikro canadian.

Mini is also an option but I have a few fixed blades that are a bit bigger than the mini Canadian so I don't know if the mini Canadian is much smaller than what I have.

Little Creek has the most versatile design in my opinion, plus it's also available in cpm 3v now.

I have and use all 3. The PSK gets the most pocket time for me, but I find the little creek to be the most useful. Of the 3, I'd say start with the little creek in a good pocket sheath.

The sheath was made by buy brown sheaths. My mini sheath was made by mashed cat. Both excellent. The style of the mashed cat suits me better, although it is a bit bulkier design. You have me looking at the little creek now, but I'm not too sure that the style will be great for that snap in locking feel to the kydex sheath that I prefer. The lines of the little creek do not look to lend themselves to that.
