I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this. I am about to order an Enzo trapper kit. I'm set on o1 steel with the scandi grind but I'm not sure if I want wooden scales or micarta. This would be my everything outdoors knife. It will get wet, muddy and bloody. I have never had a knife with either material so please give me some pros and cons of both. If anyone can show me some pics of the different colors of micarta scales I would appreciate it as I'm having trouble getting good pics with google. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that. I haven't really thought about diamondwood. I know benchmade uses it a lot. I wonder how hard it would be to just buy the scale material and shape it myself. It seems it would be hard to keep them symmetrical.

I bought the material and have the rosewood (also doing a blue variation) shaped. I have VERY limited tools compared to most, and it's not bad. Used a stone wheel and hand sander with some files thus far.
