Hi Luca, cool knife, one of my favorite Randall models. If the sheath is original to the knife, and there is no reason to believe it's not, it (the sheath) was made sometime during the late 1980's to mid 1990's (pre-1996). Thus, the knife was likely made during that timeframe as well. Hope that helps.

Is it the snap in relation to the sheath maker that gives you the date range? I'm just a student of Randalls that is always learning. Thank you in advance!

Yes. The current sheath maker for Randall Made Knives, Sullivan's Holster Shop, made their first delivery of a handful of C model sheaths around Christmas of 1986, but didn't start delivering this A model style of sheath until (approximately) early 1988; so, it's no older than that. The smooth Baby Dot snap was discontinued Jan 1st of 1995, in lieu of the current logo snap--but some sheaths were already built and in stock, so a sheath with the older snaps may have shipped into 1996, (although, not likely on an A model sheath for RMK's most popular knife in its most popular blade length). Ergo, no newer than that. Good question, thanks for asking.
