Hi, I'm new to the forum and I was just looking for some friendly advice on deciding between 3 knives.

ZT0200
ZT0350
Kershaw Blur CPM154

I'd prefer something easy to sharpen that'll still hold a decent edge and a G-10 grip would be preferred since I'm allergic to metal. I tested out a Kershaw Blur Tanto and really liked the feel, but I do not want a tanto style blade. Thanks. Open to other suggestions as well, but prefer to stay in the Kershaw/ZT area.

The Blur is a great knife. Almost the perfect size and weight. Opens super fast feels good in the hand.

Depends what you want to use it for...

This......

I think for extended (hard) use the 0200 would be the best it's very ergonomic and has a nice heft to it good steel to.

For normal edc tasks (opening boxes and the like) I'd say blur.....ergonomic, lite, S30V ect....

I can't really say anything about the 350 because iv never handled one...

What he said.
I guess the 0350 would be the middle man. Best of both worlds small and skinny enough to edc big enough for a few bigger tasks too. the only thing I do not like about a 0350 is the tip is not as pointy for fine tasks.

Along with what niner said, the Blur is easier to edc than the 200/350 because of it's size. I have owned a couple of 350s and they are great knives but to me they were a little wide (not to be taken as thick) for the shorter length. If it were me I probably would choose between the 200 and the Blur and going a step farther I would probably choose the 200 even though I enjoy carrying my carbon fiber Blur. There is just something about the ZT line that makes them a joy to carry even for their size. Also as a side note if you are allergic to metal the Blur has aluminum handles so I am not sure how that may affect your choice.

You might actually want to look at the Piston. It has a G10 handle, 14c steel, and a 3.5" blade. Then there is the Junkyard Dog 2.2 if you dont mind the wacky pocket clip.

I'd pick the Blur for general EDC. It's not a small knife, but it still carries pretty comfortably. If you want something for some heavier duty use, the 0350 is a bit beefier and has the good solid, rugged, over-built feel to it. The 0200 is a much larger knife. It's comfortable to handle, but big and bulky for something you'd be carrying around in your pocket all day.

Here are some size comparisons... (top to bottom: 0200, JYD, 0350, Blur)

I love my ZT0350 but it is a little heavy for it's size and I find myself carrying it less and less all the time. As mentioned the Piston would be a good one to check out and if you do stray away from Kershaw then the Spyderco Paramilitary 2 would be perfect for you. I consider myself a Kershaw guy but the PM2 for the last year has seen more pocket time than any other knife I own. :) You could also check out the Kershaw R.A.M. which is an awesome knife! It has aluminum handles with G10 inserts though so not sure if you would be able to hold on to the handle or not if your allergic to metal? Are you allergic to all metals? That would be a horrible thing to be allergic to if you enjoy knives!

The Blur is not G10. The 0200 is easier to sharpen than the 0350.

Sounds like, based on the criteria you gave us, ZT0200 is the way to go.

I have large hands and while the Blur is a great knife, it was just too small and I moved it on after only a few weeks. Conversely, my 0200 is a perfect fit and I love it. In fact I just secured a second one on the local Oz Exchange. I bought a 350 recently because it came up at a good price on the day I got paid for a rare truck load of overtime at work so I figured, "what the heck." I hated it for the first 24 hours, and then it worked its way into my heart and now it's my edc around home and if I'm going places I don't think such a beast will freak people out (I carry a Spyderco Delica in those cases).

If it was me faced with your decision, and could only afford/justify one of the three, I'd get the 0200 because it is just such a brilliant, kick-ass knife. However, if you liked the Blur then the 350 is definitely worthy of consideration as it is a similar fit and feel, but to my mind a superior knife.

I have had all three of those knives. I never carry the 350 anymore as its too small for my hand, and my fingers always felt cramped using it. I sold or gave all my Blurs away. They didn't seem beefy enough to me. My sons love the ones I gave them though. The 200 is a great hard use knife. I loved mine. And in a dumb move traded it off. I wish I had another 200. The ergos fit my hand nice. It was very robust and solid knife. So I vote for the 200.

Having said all that I have been carrying, and like better, the 561, 550 and 551. All three fit my hands much better than either of the knives in the op.

You are allergic to metal? That is crazy.

Thats a hard choice. Probably go for the 0350, carries easy, strong knife and I like the looks it offers. The Blur is a close second if you get the carbon fiber version, the CF Blur is very nice feeling in the hands, but you would be touching aluminum.
