I do not know. But there is no doubt that the springs on every 302 I have ever handled are better than the springs on any modern 301. They are like Goldilocks and her beds and porridge. They are not too strong, but they are not too weak. They are just right.
The seller has been around for a long time and I've purchased a few Bucks from him over the years. I, too, was suspicious that the slab fit seems a little sloppy and the knife doesn't have a Buck escutcheon. Here is the website description. It would be interesting to see the box.It says new in the box, so I guess Buck made them. The black around the pins and bolsters has me a little puzzled though.
