What is the knife? New or second hand? What do you mean by "flip it"? Hope you don't mean flick it

The way I understand it the screws bind into the titanium scale, you should be able to tighten them down with the supplied wrench until you feel the screw biting in a bit, then it should stay there. The first thing I would do is strip it down to parts and get better acquainted with your new knife, good luck.

Try a small amount of loctite or clear nail polish.

The pivot shouldn't come loose even if you're slamming it open with wrist flicks and every other stupid way to open a knife. There is something not right with your knife if that is happening, if you do indeed actually have one of course.

Don't see ow that can happen? As another poster said the screws are designed not to come loose, you should here a little snap from each screw as you loosen them. If I were you I'd stop the flicking, Don't you want to feel that hydraulic goodness anyway :D

when i say flick, i dont mean i throw flick it with my wrist real hard. But today i have been messing with it and now the screw hasnt came loose. And to you sir who said if i even have one, you are mistaken. Please dont question if i have one.

Why not ? You haven't provided any evidence that you actually have the knife and your original post sounded some what loaded.

You say you "messed with it" and now it's all good. What did you do exactly ? Short of taking the screw out and putting it back there isn't much at all you can do out side of that.

okay, why would i post a question on a forum? To waste yours and my time? sorry some of us dont have as much money as you and can only afford a knife like this every once in a while. I do have one and i took it apart, and the pivot screw actually had a metal shaving in it that wouldnt allow me to screw it in all the way. So this is my first Chris Reeve knife, i just had a question.

Unfortunately yes, people do post stuff just play games and waste time, it's commonly called trolling. I'm a natural pessimist and I'm always too quick to judge so you will have to forgive me that.

If the screw had a burr on it then that could indeed alter how the snap fit would work and I'm glad you got it figured out. You can also use one of the other screws if you find it happens again, all the screws are techincally interchangable.
