Hello! I am STILL looking to get a survival/hunting/camping knife. My choices have came down to the fehrman last chance or the bark river bravo-1. I know this has been asked many times before. But, I'd like all the input from as many people possible about these knives and the companies themselves. A few questions....I have smaller hands, would the fehrmans grip be too big? Also, I have heard that CPM3v is amazing steel but hard to sharpen? What kind of grind is on the last chance? How does the A2 steel hold up on the bravo-1? Is it big enough for the outdoors? THANKS!!!

I love my BRKT Bravo. I have the leather strop that they sell and just touch it up now and then. I have had no trouble sharpening it so far. But then again I have not really needed to. It really holds an edge well. Even after batoning small logs. The only drawback for me is the lack of a spear point. I guess I can get that in a companion knife though.

I love my bravo 1 as an outdoor tool. The A2 works very well. I have batoned many small logs and have only stropped it a few times. No edge rolling and it is still shaving sharp:). The bravo is a lot cheaper than the other knife mentioned so Id expect it would be stronger but i doubt it is a better cutter than the bravo.
