Help figuring out trade value on my War Trade Fusion and custom shop Urgent Fury

This was my take from my $1000 grab bag that I'm just getting around to considering putting up for trade, but being a newer Busse fan I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to to figuring out value. I spent the past couple months keeping an eye on the sale thread but it hasn't been a ton of help and eBay is full of people asking absurdly high, unreal prices. One thing I have established is that they seem to fall somewhere above the value of the few smaller, more recent Busse knives I'm intersted in acquiring at some point...and way below most of the larger ones I intend to eventually track down. Like myself, it seems like your averge Busse collector seems to favor hard use gear so I've thought about attempting to trade for certain RMJ gear, Winkler tomahawks/knives or possibly certain Carothers choppers, with my last option being just listing them for sale (its harder for me to justify spending more cash on knives once I've got it in hand, so thats why I'm favoring trades 😂)

From what I've seen the SR101 War Train Fusion seems to go for pretty close to its original price of around $600, but thecustom shop Urgent Fury has been harder for me to figure out value on. Any help confirming what I gathered to be the case on the WTF and on getting an idea of what to value the Urgent Fury at would be greatly appreciatedBusseCustomShopUrgentFury-resize.jpgbusse1000.jpg

Appreciate the offer but not looking to sell here since there's a whole section for sales and trades, just trying to get a general idea on value. $450 is around the price I saw the only two WTF sales I found in searches go for, but they were pretty serious users; is valuing the WTF at $600 a bit high?

It may be a little high as the offer was about 400.00 387.00 + 30.00 handle up-grade, for the Hog Trough 72 hr special.
The regular price 467.00 + 110.00 handle upgrades + shipping
so high ? kind of maybe a little ? depends on how fast you want to sell.
but they are worth every penny even at 700.00.
one of the best Busse has offered in my opinion.

my 2 cents would be 450 for wtf

about 600 for urgent fury but it depends on the buyer to be honest. If youre patient can probably get around 700, or 500ish for a quick sale

Id believe 400ish if it was a recent sale (last few months), think the busse market values are coming up a little lately though

Thanks a ton everyone, definitely dropping expected value closer to around $450 for the WTF, and I appreciate finally having ANY good idea of what to value the CS Urgent Fury around. No question, they're both great knives, but when it comes to knives with the the kind of heft the WTF has, I'm far more comfortable handling styles with thicker spines, and thinner bellies; as for the Urgent Fury, I do like the style and even the LOOK of the scales, but I'm more one for grippy, utilitarian G-10 or micarta over the nicest looking of custom scales.

FWIW, i bought a custom UF a month ago for $550. Worth every penny for me. I recommend to take good pics.

what did the tags that came on them say ?
That is sometimes a good valuation.

Haha, I'm new to Busse (regular fixed blade carry as a whole really after moving away from NYC where I had multiple friends spend the night in jail for carrying 100% legal folders) but give me a little credit! The tags were $597 on the WTF and $757 on the CS Urgent Fury.

If you were selling you could always start there and go down a little from there.
Just my 2 cents.

Yeah I think I'm going to go ahead and do that. Originally I was feeling really flexible trade wise so they were heading for that sub-forum...then I got this Winkler Belt Knife in the mail, and think I'm about to go on a Winkler kick, ha, so these should help fund this. Thanks again.

Whatever the sticker price was for each of them (attached to the handle tang in the grab bags) is usually a pretty good starting point. You could add a bit onto that just to start on the high side to avoid the 'I just gave this away' syndrome and work your way back down if it doesn't sell after a bit. It' so hard to figure out what something like this is worth because it's all so depending on what somebody that might want to buy feels it's worth to them. Color and handle options I have found can be pretty make or break in some cases, so it really depends alot on a number of factors. Start high and work your way down is the best advice I can give to really figure this with any certainty.
