Hi
I appreciate your help guys.

I have a Nikon d7000 with handle extension.
I need a bag for it that does not look like a camera bag.
some padding is good but not essential (no backpacks)

it must take my other edc items, water bottle, knife, fire kit, multitool, flashlight , snacks, pocket first aid kit, para cord, aa and aaa batteries, and similar items, gun.

any ideas guys?

I just ordered a 5.11 MOAB 6. I plan on doing a review when it comes. I plan to carry similar items (it has a hidden compartment for CCW). I can't guarantee you won't think it looks like a camera bag though. :)

Maxpedition Jumbo EDC?

I'm not familiar with the size of DSLR cameras though, if you can tell me the size of it I can try measure if it will fit into the main compartment of the Jumbo EDC. The side pocket is good for a FAK, there is a CCW compartment, and a slot of a 1L nalgene bottle(you can put smaller bottles and tighten it up).

That's going to be really heavy.

Though I do carry my EDC items with my camera bag, I leave my gun at home.
I would suggest a Domke f2/j2, I currently use an f7 to carry a couple extra lenses.
You may also like to try think tank's Retrospective series (I use the 20). I believe you'll be able to fit a fire arm in the rear pocket

I use a jumbo versipack for my DSLR. I can carry an extra lens OR flash, lens pen, squeeze bulb air duster, extra lens filters, lens hood, spare battery and charger. This leaves me room in the front pocket and the water bottle pouch and about 1/3 of the side pocket. So if i just want to carry my camera, accessories and a few other goodies but it doesn't leave a lot of room. So if you need more room get something bigger than the jumbo but if you are fine with only a little bit of room go for the jumbo.

I would recommend the new Think Tank Retrospective 5. Unassuming and discreet on the outside, but a fantastic camera bag on the inside. It even has an integrated waterproof pack cover!

Domke has a great selection of non-camera-bag-looking camera bags. Extremely well-made, not overly-padded and bulky, and will last a long time. Look pretty nice, too.

I'm using the regular sized bugout bag from LA Police Gear. I have more issues when going through airports than anywhere else (they want to know if I have a laptop). What I like is that I can sling it over my shoulder and walk around with a book, paper, bottle of water, etc, and no problems. It's go a dozen pockets and I can stop and throw stuff into it over the course of the day. Not bad for $20.
