help finding a good folder with a 4" blade

Wow, you're going to get a ton of different responses, and you're going to be asked for price range, uses, what type of lock your prefer, steel preferences, etc.

Basically, you need to be more specific.

Welcome to Bladeforums chrs87788!

In addition to Ludwig's questions, I would ask, "What is the intended purpose of the knife?" EDC? Camping? Cutting a lot of cardboard? Cutting a lot of twine or rope? Going to be around salt water a lot?

The desired use for a knife will have an impact on the design and materials.

EKI CQC12, '13, '8, BM 800/806/710/630, spydie military, police, ATR, MT SOCOM elite, crawford kasper folder, darrel ralph maxx 4", etc etc etc.

The only knives of that size i have used are the CS Recon1 and Scimitar both are excelent knives but my BM minigrip out preformed them easily so I would go for something from that company.
