Hello fellow knife people, specifically experienced traditional knife experts!

I usually carry a fixed blade like an ESEE Izula in addition to a small to medium sized traditional like an Opinel or Case Slimline Trapper.

I need help from you more experienced traditional knife guys finding a pocket knife perfect for me. Here's my criteria:

1.) Single bladed preferably
2.) Clip blade with a good looking swedge (I really like the clip blade on the GEC #15s)
3.) Blade that is pretty easy to open without finger nails (I bite)
4.) Comfortable to carry in back pocket preferably
5.) No shorter than 3" and no longer than 5" closed
6.) Under $100
7.) Carbon steel blade

Go! Thank you.:thumbup::)

Gec 15 single blade boys knife fits the bill almost perfectly, I have never back pocket carried one but it should work perfectly and can be had for less than 60 bucks. Another larger option (probably better for back pocket carry) would be a clip blade #65 Ben Hogan, with the right handle choices could be bought online for less than $65.

I second the recommendation of the #15. It fits all of your criteria.

The GEC #72 at 3⅞" and the #42 at 4¼" are both lockbacks, and so have a very easy opening strength. The Northfield versions have beautiful swedges on their clip blades. I particularly like the first issue of the #72s. Here is my favorite in red stag.

All three recommendations above me are great. The #72 is very appealing to me. The buck chairman series as well or if you go bigger a buck 112. I am a fan of single bladed trappers mainly that are larger myself and #72 really appealed to me.

Thank you all very much. I have decided that if I can find a #15 "Radio Knife" or a #72 for a good price I will snatch it up and I will be buying a Case Barehead Slimline Trapper in CV just in case I don't find those soon enough. I also handled an acrylic GEC Farm and Feild in a show when I met the great people over at GEC. Loved it!
