I found one that I really like at TAD, but unfortunatly its too small. The material it was made of is perfect, and I love the dual velcro straps for horizontal carry. Below is the link:

Does anyone know where I can get a sheath really similar for a folder that is 5.25 closed? I would like to stay as close as possible to the materials and design as the link above. Thanks

Sigh... here we go again:
Talk to Normark about making one of his Concealex designs for you. You will not be sorry.
I just hope I don't have to keep repeating this

TAD was of no help? They clearly refer to it as a sheath for medium size knives. This would seem to imply that large and or small sheaths of the same format are made. A subcontractor is mentioned but not identified. Maybe TAD would at least share the name of that contractor??

Personally, I would think that there is more call for larger sheaths like that, than there is for mediums or small ones. The smaller the knife, the less hassle clipping to pocket is. Of course, not all knives have clips.

Check with Frank Sigmon. If you will be at the Blade Show he will be there.

Good luck.

Guns are for show. Knifes are for Pros.

I think blackhawk makes something like that for pistol mags.
If they don't, they can make it on request.

Dark Nemesis,
I got one just like the one at TAD but bigger(holds up to 5 1/2" closed) with the 2 velcro straps for horizontal carry at my local army surplus store for about $8. They are made by a company called Raine. Try to find them on the web, or email me and I'll get you one.

From the description and pictures on the brigades website, it looks to be exactly the same as TAD's. I'm going to try one of them. I called TAD and he said that there is no way my knife would fit in their sheath. Thanks for the link.
