Hi guys, new to the forums. I've been snooping for a while learning about steel and looking at the new knife makers out there but now I'm looking for a new blade and I need your help.
I spend a lot of my summer packing and paddling so my folders and sheath knives aren't very handy with a back pack or life vest on. I decided to invest in a small knife (less than 4") with a Kydex sheath I can mount on a shoulder strap for easy access.
So far the blades catching my attention are the Bawidamann POGN, Stryder DB, and the Brous Triple Threat. Obviously I'm after a super strong steel that I don't have to worry about rusting and that will take the abuse of hard daily use. Are there others I'm missing? I'd like to keep the price below $300 because of the crappy situation of our Canuck dollar.
Thanks!
