Hope this is the right forum.
About 25 years ago, my uncle gave me a cool little knife. It was about two inches long, a folder, had stainless scales and blade, and only a single spear point blade. The cool thing about it was the trick to opening/locking it. It had a little hook on the blade, near the pivot, and a bar on the inside of the handle. If you held it point down while folded, and squeezed the blade into the handle, the bar would fall into the hook, and lock the blade in place. If you reversed and held it point up, the bar fell out and unlocked it. I loved this little knife, and even won a few dollars betting schoolmates they couldn't open it (no one ever figured it out).
Well, in 1989 my parents moved us, and I lost the knife in the move. I have never been able to find another, or even find the name or manufacturer. Has anyone ever seen a knife like this, or know where I can find one? Any help is much appreciated.
Oh, by the way, this is my first thread ever on this forum. I hope to become a regular, and join the ranks of the fine folks I have been coming to know on this forum. I am currently trying to build my skills as a maker. Maybe someday my work will be worthy of a thread. Till then, thanks for all of the priceless information.
