Okay, I'm trying to remember the name of a certain Russian surrealist artist. I saw some of his work, which included a painting of a male and female, each person as a blade of a pair of scissors, and another painting which included a setting (or rising) sun which looked like an egg, while below it was a field with a pond that looked like a frying pan. I think he worked sometime in the 20th century. I'm thinking like recently; maybe forty for fifty years ago.
I also think his first name started with a V.
In fact, I learned about this artist lurking on Sigforum. I followed a link to a web page with lots of his art, but I lost the link.
Does anyone remember a post from a couple of months ago on Sigforum with a link to an artist like the one I've described?
Anybody know what I'm talking about? Could someone just give me a fairly comprehensive list of Russian surrealist artists?
