Help finding Civil War knife designs?

Can anyone help me find a website or a picture a solid design for a Civil War period knife and sheath? I would like to make a period piece for a friend who does Civil War reinactments. I don't want to assume that it would be a Bowie style knife but maybe someone who knows far more than I do can help me find a design that would fit into a reinactment scene properly. I would love it if someone could post some pics or direct me to a solid website.

Thanks!
Mike

Bowies of all types and sizes, daggers, and even the lowly butcher knife were common types used during the period.
Resources:
1) On line Civil War photo galleries
2) Civil War ANtique and auction sites
3) Civil War equipment books - of which there are a plethora

I saw a talk on Southern Armoury knives at Bowies hammerin a couple weeks ago.

several knife examples where present.

Jason, be seeing you soon.

Just keep in my that after the first campaign few if any Confederates continued to carry Bowies.

As Robert E. Lee once said watching a regiment of Mississippi troops go by in the early days of the Late Unpleasantness, each with a big Bowie. "Gentlemen, I think you will soon discover that a nine pound rifle and 40 rounds of ammunition are all you will want to carry in the field of armament."
