Help finding clips

Thanks guys, some of those look good, but Im looking for one that grabs the belt from the inside like the one in the link. Anymore ideas?

That Clip is pretty much Useless with a kydex sheath...

The Kydex has a better grip on the knife, than the clip on the pants..

They look cool,, easy to use,, but don't work worth a shyte with kydex sheaths.. That's unless you loosen the sheath up so much that the knife draws out with two fingers...

You'd be far better of with a closed belt loop, Tek Lok or a Reverse G-clip if you want something easy on/off

The one I posted has a piece that grabs the belt from the inside and holds the sheath to the belt quite well. They are all I use on my smaller knives (2-5in), however I do not know where to get them right now.

Yaa they work Ok under certain circumstances and not so well in others..

For me,, and my client base who wear wider belts, Rigger/Duty belts, in the 1.75"-2.0" range,, they don't work worth a shyte...

As long as the belt fits in the slot,, they work well..When the belt doesn't fit in that slot, they Don't work worth a damn.

My solution was to build my own clips and now I can tailor the size to a particular customers,, or run 100's off as I do for my standard size,, that works well with the belts that my clients use...

Problem solved....

Let me ask you..

Are you using them for IWB purposes ??
I'll assume you are making kydex sheaths ??

Why not make them from Kydex and cut out one more thing you have to buy ??

It's easy and you can tailor the size to suit your Clients needs ??

I had a source for these many years ago,, but just looked through some catologs for you and couldn't find anything...

However..

These are the same clips that TOPS uses often,, and you may be able to Sweet talk the source out of Mike Fuller,, however generally makers usually won't tell you their source...

You may be able to even buy them right from TOPS.. Mike a decent fellow, he may help you out..

If I had the source for you,, or if I come across it, I'll pass it along,, as I could care less about them and serve no useful purpose for me...

Thanks for the help and the awesome reply. I use them on kydex sheaths, and I have had luck clipping them to my SOE Gear riggers belt. I could see how bigger belts could be a problem. I haven't had much luck making a clip that works as good as that one and is as small as that one. I do some kydex loops... but I never like how the clips turn out even with thicker kydex size they never seem to grab the belt as well. I will check out TOPs and see what I can do there. Thanks for checking for suppliers... if one ever pops up keep me in mind.

Go with Spyderco G-Clip. They will work for sure as you can use em with or without the belt or even just clip em on your sweatpants. I use em for all my kydex sheaths and they are universal. You can get them at: http://www.spyderco.com/
i suggest you give them a call as they dont have it advertised on their web. Great customer service!
