hey i was wondering if anyone can recommend a good shoulder holster for a 1911 for under $200. im not looking for anything fancy, i just want a rough use holster that wont drop my gun in the mudd. anyway hope someone can help me. thanks

Muzzle back or muzzle down?

Bianchi and Galco make good products.

Even though I don't recommend shoulder holsters, (where is the muzzle pointing? Where is the muzzle pointing during your draw-to-presentation?), these two make very good and dependable holsters.

thanks:) im currently looking at the the jackass rig from galco. i just prefer shoulder rigs over hip holsters, there just more comfortable to me.

Check out the DeSantis Patriot. It's very lightweight, low-profile, and comfortable. I now carry on my hip, but when I wore a shoulder rig, this was the one I used.

Jackass rig has been around for 30+ years, I can't imagine that would have been around that long if it wasn't a good design.

If you do get one, consider adding the tie-downs for holster & ammo pouch. Makes it a much more solid system to have these anchored.

I wear a shouler holster when I want to carry concealed on my motorcycle. IWB holsters tend to hurt on a longer trip. I like my DeSantis Bodyguard. In a car, I wear a Crossbreed IWB holster.
