Help Finding Plastic Storage Cases

I've been looking for some of the plastic storage cases for the Shapton Glass Stones ... and am hoping someone can tell me where I can buy some?

I can find the storage cases for Shapton Pro Stones but not the Glass Stones ...

I did find them on one site ... but someone told me it wasn't the best place to order from ... so maybe someone knows whether it is a safe site to order those cases? ... It's bestsharpeningstones ... anyone have any experiences with them?

So if you have any experience buying from that site or can tell me somewhere that I can safely buy plastic storage cases for the Shapton Glass Stones I would appreciate any help.

I'm pretty sure pro stones are the same size except for thickness as the glass stones. If you don't need a perfect fit then pro stone cases should be fine. I have never bought them so I wouldn't know the best place to buy them.
 
I think you're correct ... I think the Pros are 5/8s and the glass 3/8s ... and I may have to go that route but am hoping to find the case made for them just to eliminate extra room for movement.

I have never seen a plastic case for the glass stones. I have seen the holder that will hold 3 stones stacked on each other but never a plastic one like the pro stones have.
 
It wouldn't take much to make little wooden boxes for them. A saw and a chisel and a little time you will have a nice wooden box for them
 
I might contact TFJ as they have a direct line of communication with reps from Shapton Japan. It's about as close to source as you will get without contacting Shapton in Japan directly.
 
I've seen them ... and found one place that sells them but I haven't found anyone that has ever bought from that place so I'm trying to see if I can find them somewhere else.

I thought about makin a wooden storage box that I could fit all of them in ... and may go that way if I don't have any luck finding the plastic cases.

Well no luck finding the cases for the Glass Stones ... I did find out the business that showed they sold them is no longer in business ... so it looks like I will try what you suggested Adam and if I have no luck there I may just build a felt lined wooden case to store and carry the stones in. Or might for the short term buy the cases for the Pro Stones and just add some felt to take up the extra space and protect the stones.

Thanks for the replies ... I'll keep looking through the weekend til I get home ... if nothing by then Ill plan on making a wooden case.

That looks like a handy system. But is alot bigger then I need ... I have individual cases for most of my stones ... and a Pelican case with cut outs to slide the individual cases into to transport. I had considered a system like you posted but I've kind of just gotten individual cases to store and protect what equipment I have ... and use a tool chest for storage at home but am looking for small individual cases to protect stones if I take 4 or 5 as I travel.

find the size you need and go to walmart or target and find some containers. they won't say festool, so you can't show your friends,but come on, it's a storage box for a piece of rock
 
I agree ... I don't need anything fancy ...but I do want something protective.

I did call a few vendors and found one that I've dealt with before that thinks they can get some of the plastic storage cases ordered ... just may take a couple weeks to get them.

So I'll wait and give them a chance ... and hopefully they can get some in stock. If not I will probably either make a wooden case felt lined with seperate cut outs to hold each stone securely and safely.

If nothing else comes up before I get to see if the vendor can get the correct cases ... I may just order new foam for one of my Pelican cases and just make cut outs to slip individual stones into to keep them safe and secure for carrying.
