Hi All

I am new here but have been lurking for a bit. I am looking at a small fixed blade for EDC pocket carry. I like the PSK and MPS from John Landis. any one carry either of these is the MPS too large for a pocket? Any other suggestions? I really like a decent size handle.

Thanks

Fallkniven WM1 or a TK-6 if you're feeling wealthy.

or

an

Izula..... (gonna get that one a LOT)

-Izula is a given.
-Check out the Bark river Bravo Necker also. You can get full scales for it but since it's skeletonized, it will be lighter than similar fixed blades. It also has a very sharp full convex grind.
-Another good suggestion would be the Fiddleback Forge EDC if you can find one.

I like the Izula but want a fuller handle. On the Javelina umm I don't think that will fit in my pocket, its nice tho. Any one know how much the scales cost for the izula? I can get the Landis PSK for a pretty good price ( cheaper then the benchmade activator that started all this)

+2 on the izula for sure! throw in some scales, have hoopster make you a sheath, and your ready to rock:D

Izula, Bravo Necker II, or if you want to spend more, get a Swamp Rat Swamp Warden while you still can (these have the longest handles if memory serves me right. 4 inch handle and 3 inch blade; they also have the best steel of the 3 mentioned, SR101).

EDIT: Swamp Wardens are 68 shipped if you can get on the list to purchase. They don't come with a sheath so you'll have to get one of those as well by one of the makers here.

Go with the Landi, support the BF maker and get a product equal or better than the ones mentioned in this thread. The MPS will be a largish-small FB, something like 7-8" OAL. He also has a PSK that is a tad larger, might be called the PSK-X? Anyway, you can order these in multiple blade steel offerings, all kinds of scale materials and John has them professionally heat treated. Good luck in your decision.

Yeah, a Landi would be a finer choice for sure. But you'd be fine with any of the above mentioned. About neck-like knives: the Becker BRAT is coming soon, basically a BK11 with Izula handle, which I find awesome and will probably get one as it becomes available (hoping it's OK priced).

Just for another option I'd suggest the Spyderco Street Beat. Man, that's a beautiful knife.

Dozier Gentleman's knife? K-35 but there is a wait to order right from the shop. If you can find it, have Paul Long make a pocket sheath for you. Really sweet.

since lots of folks have mentioned the Izula & Beckers, how about a BRKT Mini Canadian?
