Hello all!

I am looking to pick up my first Sebenza, but am finding the options for us lefties are a little limited.

I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction.

I am looking for a small left handed Sebenza - classic on regular doesn't matter. I am however looking for something with some personality.

Ideally I want a Night Sky, but I don't think they are made in left handed versions? I would also consider either a wood inlay or a mammoth inlay (not white).

It seems as though it would be a simple task to produce more variety in left handed versions - but for whatever reason they don't seem to be out there?

My current contenders are either a micarta inlay or a moon song - as I have actually seen those for sale.

Any additional ideas you could give me would be appreciated. I don't particularly want to spend much over $600, so keep that in mind.

TIA!

You could special order one. It takes a little longer, but you can get just what you want. You can do it directly or through a dealer.

I wasn't even aware that was an option.

Any idea what kind of a timeframe I would be looking at? Any idea what pricing is like for custom orders?

Thanks for your help!

Call CRK and speak to Heather. Calling is always your best option.

TNN has a couple computer generated:

this one is at true north knives. they seem to always the most quantity of left handed sebbies.

Thanks for the input.

Not crazy about the spider web design, and while I do like the trapeze design it does not appear to be available.

I went to the CRK website and priced out a small night sky with the s30v blade and an Iolite cabuchon - I though the price was actually pretty reasonable for what I would be getting. I may call later to find out a timetable for having something like that made.

Call CRK. All their stuff is avalable in LH versions. Neil at True North Knives has LH Sebbies in stock as does Plaza Cutlery. IMHO the micarta inlay is:thumbup::thumbup:

Also if you are willing to part with the $$$, call Heather at CRK and say you want a LH LE inlay. I get one every year and have a collection of LH LE's one from each year since 2000.

The special orders may take longer but are well worth it.

One of the important reasons that I patronize CRK is that they are the only production organization that will make a dedicated LH framelock. Your only other choice is to seek a semi-custom maker.

If you are willing to wait you won't be dissapointed. Us southpaws are quite a minority.

Yes it is a complicated change in tooling to do a left hand knife. Every thing about it is ass backwards. Not simple by any stretch of the imagination.

Good luck!:thumbup::D;)

I stopped by there (CRK) this morning to drop some tools off. Heather is in this morning.
Later,
