Help for an Inexperienced Forumite

I own a few Busse Knives that I have bought over the years. All have been bought from the for For Sale part of Bladeforums - a lovely Satin Jack, a Busse Basic 9, and Zero Tolerance BM E whose grip was modified personally by Jerry to fit my hand size (modification done for "free" - but shoosh, don't tell anyone else that Jerry does this sort of thing - although Jerry did mubble something about owing him an ale or two or something like that).

However, I have not bought anything directly from Busse and have no experience in this area. I have never bought a new Busse. There is one knife I want, I need, I have to have - the Fusion Battle Mistress. I know that after "two weeks" it must arrive on the scene very, very, very soon. I know that there is a slight possibility that there may be one or two other persons interested in purchasing this knife when it becomes available. I may even find that the FBM will be sold in limited quantities. I may have others competing with me for this knife - I know this is unlikely, but it may happen.

My question: When the FBM comes up for sale, what is the most likely scenario? In other words, I want to set up my purchase FBM email now? Who will the email most likely need to be addressed to, what info will I need to have on my email etc etc to eventually purchase the FBM?

Now I know that only kind hearted, generous, well meaning folk participate in the Busse Combat Knives forum so I am quite sure that I won't be given any false information, so I wait in anticipation. :D
 
It's been my experience that when the knife is placed on open order on the Busse site, you'll have plenty of time to order.

The extravaganzas, however, are a zoo... :eek:

I'm fairly new here, myself. How does the Extravaganza work? Is it at the Busse Combat site?

There will be an annoucement here on the Busse Forum about a special sale, 'Extravaganza', with a certain date, time, and 'Go' or 'Buy' signal posted here... it's a feeding frenzy that has to be seen to believe... :eek:
 
Sooooooooo, a normal, average, common place, nothing out of the ordinary Fusion Battle Mistress is more likely to appear on the Busse site and not as an extravaganza and soooooo I am likely to have all the time in the world to buy one? Have I got that right?

You never know what may come up at an Extravaganza, anything from past models to custom variants. The hard part is getting one. The orders are sorted according to Email times for when they are received by Jerry, Garth, and Amy.

If the FBM goes on the Busse Combat site you will likely have a few months while orders are being placed. At least I hope....:cool: :D
