Help? Freehand sharpening teacher in MO

I really wanna get the hang of freehand sharpening on stones, but I don't learn very well until I can see it in person. Are there any freehand masters/aprentices in central MO? Thanks alot!

Shelby, I don't know of any but you could look at some video's or youtube which may help in your quest . http://www.Nortonstone.com look for sharpening . Others here will give you more as they come along . DM

Thank you sir! I need to find some stones to learn with. Any suggestions? I'll probably need a med. coarse, and a fine and extra fine. However, I don't know whether to go diamond Arkansas or water or oil stone?
