Anyone dealt with Extreme Outfitters lately? I was considering buying a SOCFK from them but their website has not been accessible. I have tried every day for the last week (tacticaledge.com). I'm too cheap to call them and I can't find an e-mail address.

I've wanted to fondle a SOCFK for more than a year and I am finally getting a chance to be near their stores in North Carolina and Virginia.

Thanks,

I was just at their Jacksonville, NC store last weekend. They had 3 SOCFK's left, two "B" 2000 models with black blades and one "A" 2002 model with a satin blade. All had black handles if I remember correctly. They were $139.95 I believe. Hope this helps!

Take care,
Chris

They sell them at www.specialmissionknives.com which is currently up and running, I think its the same guys as the site you mentioned (which is down), located in Jacksonville NC.

I've been tempted to buy the SOFCK after buying a MOD ATFK
from them a few months ago (awesome knife btw).

Hey Everyone,
If you can get a hold of SOCFK, I'd suggest
you'd get your hands on one, they're a classic. I've got 3 myself:)

I sent an e-mail to Special Mission Knives asking them if they were related to Extreme Outfitters (since I always thought Extreme Outfitters was the exclusive distributor of the SOCFK).

They did not directly answer the question but did say that I could buy the SOCFK from Extreme Outfitters (EO) if I called E.O.s phone number since E.O.s website was down. They also pointed out that the SOCFK page on the Special Mission website shows the Extreme Outfitters logo.

Chris, Bigthumbs, Nonbox – thanks for helping on this. Chris, were there any green handles left?

Laserman – you have 3! Wow. What versions? Any preferences?

While I would never sell the Commander short, the SOCFK is my most often carried Emerson. It has a very well thought out handle and usefully sized blade of functional shape. When Emereson and Extreme Outfitters come out with a super-sized model, I'll be there.

We were in the Jacksonville store today, and I picked up the Satin PE Spearpoint SOFCK. In the display they had 2 black tantos left, and Steve said that he "might" have some like mine with green handles.

Steve was really helpful as we browsed the store and assisted my friend in picking out a CRKT Lightfoot M1 -- another really nice knife.

When asked about the Super-SOFCK, he said that he was still waiting on prototypes for final testing, and that it could be as long as 6 months.

He also said www.specialmissionknives.com would be the place to get the supers, leading me to believe that it is the new website for Extreme Outfitters, as tacticaledge.com is still down.
