Help going to Las Vegas, transporting trade items

Well the title says most of what I am trying to get across. Going to Vegas next week for the USN gathering and wanted to take a few knives to trade, 20 or so, how would you go about getting them down there. Flying and wondering if packing in bag is good move or if I should ship. Don't believe I can take on as carry on. Any travel tips from you is appreciated.

I have heard too many horror stories about knives "disappearing" from bags. I would ship them via USPS. That way you can ship them insured, right to your hotel. They should be there waiting on you.

Ship 'em by UPS to Planet Hollywood and pick 'em up when you arrive. Don't use the USPS, I shipped some things last year when I went to G4 and used USPS and had problems.
The staff at the PH shipping center said to always use UPS.
