HELP! Have you ever seen this knife and know who makes it?

Hi all I have been searching for a while for this blade (well kind of blade) and having no luck determining the maker or the name of the blade so i am turning to the experts to see if anyone has a clue.

I find it pretty hard to respect Microtech as a serious company when they still make something like this and market it as anything other than an interesting show piece...

Try explaining to a police officer that is your utility knife. Looks like that thing is nothing but a glorified pig sticker. WTF?

I don't think they're going for "serious company" in any case . . . they also make the uber-lolworthy silliest named knife ever, the "Death on Contact Killswitch". This is what happens when mall ninjas grow up, get jobs, and have more money to spend on knives. It's a good thing, though. I doubt companies like Microtech and Strider could stay in business without that particular demographic buying knives.
 
I was going to buy one for my desk, but I figured out it wouldn't work as a letter opener!!!
