Ok so i got a Buck Vantage Pro and was loving it (great materials for the price!) but then i accidentally dropped it on my tile floor from pocket height and now it has serious side to side bladeplay. It landed upright, the end near the pivot is what hit the floor, and it opened about halfway on impact. I have taken it apart, and put it back together, but cant get rid of the bladeplay! I tried swithcing the s30v blade from the Pro to a Select i have, but it still has bladeplay! Help! What do i do? Can it be fixed?

When you swapped the blades, which one had play? The select with the pro blade?

Yeah the select with the pro blade. and when i put the regular select blade back, it had no play again. So i'm wondering if it had to do with the blade being damaged?

Did you put the select blade in the pro frame to what happens? And did you swap the pivot screws with their respective blades?
I'm sure you've already tried tightening the pivot up, have you checked to see if the screws holing the liners together can be tightened?

no i can only tighten them so much because my torx driver is sucky, the bits are made of some soft steel that strips the driver and not the screw!
