Help, I can't use my WWII..

I can't come to use my WWII. I'm afraid of the horn handle cracking, what am I gonna do when it splits? I don't think it's covered under the warranty because it's a blem(like the factory 2nds of other knife manufacturers). And the blade is too nice to ruin. My next khuk will probably be a kobra so that rules out a villager. I think I'm an excessive compulsive(that right?) . I really want to use it. Thanks for any help :o .

If you bought that blem from Uncle Bill, then it is absolutely covered by warranty, unless something has changed that I didn't catch.

Also, if I'm remembering correctly, the Kobras are NOT covered by the unbreakable guarantee because they are so slender. This is not saying you shouldn't get one, but just keep in mind that it's a much less robust number than your WW2. If used in a manner in keeping with its design (brushwork and fast slashing and general cutting) it'll outlast you by a fair margin.

Take that WW2 out and beat on it!

I'm getting the Kobra because I felt like one after seeing Kill Bill :D . I guess I'll keep that one for show :) . Thanks.

I'd go outside, find a nice stump or wood pile, and beat the daylights out of your WWII. That's the only way you'll know for sure that it won't fail you when you need it most. The handle should be fine. if it ever cracks, it'll only be a slight one. fill it with superglue or epoxy and keep using it:) Good snag on the WWII, btw. They are my favorite all around user khuks. In the kobra's defense, i have to say that while they are not covered by the warranty for bending or breaking, they are TOUGH. I mean, what we in the cantina call "thin" is actually about as thick as a cold steel trailmaster. Would I use it to pry up an old stump? no. Will it blaze through 1" diameter stuff like a lightsabre strung out on crank? yes:)

Yes, use the WWll. There have been horn failures recently, but only way to feel good about yours is to use it. And if it cracks, it'll probably be a fixable one as directed. I've never had a horn failure, but have had two handles crack a little in the last couple months. Hopefully the horn situation will improve soon.

I obviously spoke too strongly against the kobra--take it out and cut with it all day--lop off vines and small branches etc, etc, just don't sink it deep into a tree trunk and try to pry it apart. ;)

Diamond Cut II?

Take the sumbich out and go medieval on it. (Read the safety thread first, and wear leather gloves.)

THEN if the little sucker gives you issues, go BACK out and do it again.

You own the khuk. It does not own you.

Superglue is inexpensive. Make it a collector if you want, but khuks is to be used (to paraphrase UB).
