Hope all is well in your corner of the world today...
I am a new member of BF and glad to be with you all.
Well, this is likely a very long shot, but I am trying to identify a knife I got a few years back.
It is a very well made ( vintage era) Damascus Bowie style mountain man hunting knife.
It came from an estate yard sale in... “ OTTUMWA, IOWA “...
But at the time l did not get any names.
But the knife does have a makers mark... which is on the underside(blade side) of the Brass guard.
The mark is: “ T C “ on one side and the number: “ 11 “ on the opposite side of the guard.
It is a well made knife. It has a 10” wave pattern Damascus blade, a brass guard and a nice Stag handle about 6” long.
If anyone out there has any idea about the knife maker or maybe a Knife history person in OTTUMWA... l would really be pleased. Thank you and Blessings to all.
